The climate of Amorgos Island makes visiting the attractions a thrilling venture.  The island experiences temperate Mediterranean weather with summers being hot and breezy and during the winter, winds are typically strong.  In the months of April, May, September, and October, the climate is considered to be perfect because it is neither too hot nor too cold.  However, throughout the course of a year the temperature averages to a high of 25ºC (77ºF) and a low of 16ºC (60.8ºF).

Amorgos Island Transportation

Travelling around Amorgos Island is relatively easy.  By renting a car or scooter you can travel at your own pace.  Ferries are available from the ports of Katapola and Aegiali and they provide rides to Athens, Crete, Naxos, Paros, and other Greek Islands.  The express bus provides rides to Karaiskaki Square in Piraeus for EURO 3.20(USD 4.08).  Taxi drivers are also convenient and available to provide transportation within the island and to nearby destinations.
