4 Best Glamping Destinations Across North America

Glamping

Outdoor adventures meet luxury in the aptly named ‘glamping’, offering travelers the chance to enjoy the great outdoors alongside all of their creature comforts. Imagine canvas tents complete with king-sized beds, heaters, and a line of high-end products gracing the fully-equipped bathrooms.

While glamping can run the gamut from more rustic (but comfortable) accommodation up to five-star luxury, today we’re focused on the latter and are counting down four of the most deluxe glamping destinations across North America.

The Resort at Paws Up, Montana, United States

Spread out over a sprawling 37,000 acres, The Resort at Paws Up offers guests the choice between 28 luxurious vacation homes or 36 safari-style tents. A working cattle ranch, Paws Up showcases the best of Big Sky countryside and offers over 40 on-site activities. Guests may choose to venture out on a helicopter tour or off-roading tour, take equestrian classes, go fishing, try clay shooting, take a cooking class, and so much more.

The dining experience at Paws Up is all-inclusive, and guests enjoy three meals per day along with drinks and snacks. Paws Up provide an immersive western-inspired stay and recently introduced the Ranch Table in Trough, an organic, grab-and-go dining adventure that showcases local farms. Step aboard their old-fashioned horse-drawn wagon and enjoy a unique adventure that delivers you to the banks of the Blackfoot River, where you’ll enjoy an authentic chuck wagon dinner. Fresh organic fare is prepared on an open fire right before your eyes—just like in the Old West. If that’s not enough, a camping butler is there for anything else you may need!

Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada

Set against the rugged backdrop of the wild west coast of Vancouver Island, Clayoquot Sound Wilderness Lodge provides guests with an escape to Canada’s remote wilderness.  Accessible only by seaplane, guests stay in one of 25 canvas tents resting along the banks of the Clayoquot Sound, in the UNESCO-protected Clayoquot World Biosphere.

Activities abound, and guests can enjoy everything from bear viewing and whale watching to horse riding, canyoning, rafting, and more. For guests who want to slow things down a notch, there’s yoga, fly-fishing, or simply taking in the magnificent scenery, drink in hand. The Healing Grounds Spa does not disappoint at Clayoquot, and provides visitors serenity through massages and spa treatments in their ocean-front tent, with products sourced and made in British Columbia – local Pacific seaweed and Canadian clay are both featured heavily on the Spa menu.

Speaking of menus, it’s all about the food at Clayoquot Sound Wilderness Lodge – where guests indulge in an all-inclusive experience built upon locally foraged ingredients and a regularly rotating menu based on seasonality.
